Learning & Lifestyle

Spring into Explore Activities Week

15 September 2026
Spring into Explore Activities Week

Something special is coming to Wallara’s Learning & Lifestyle calendar next week.

Explore Activities Week runs from Monday 21 to Thursday 24 September, bringing four days of activities, outings, friendly competition, catching up with friends and meeting new people along the way.

Twice a year, between Learning & Lifestyle semesters, the regular timetable makes way for Explore Activities Week – a week with different things to do, places to go and people to spend time with.

And this Spring, there’s plenty to choose from.

Something different every day

Monday kicks off with a LEGO Challenge, including competitions to build the tallest tower, strongest bridge and most creative design. Or clients can head to the movies for Forgotten Island.

On Tuesday, the Wallara Carnival brings games, prizes and carnival food, while another group heads out to meet the animals and explore the grounds at Wallara’s Social Enterprise, Collingwood Children’s Farm.

Wednesday brings some friendly competition. Teams from different Wallara sites will go head-to-head in the Mystery Box Cooking Challenge, discovering their ingredients on the day and competing for the winning title. Bowling, arcade games and lunch at General Public in Dingley Village offer another way to spend the day.

The week wraps up on Thursday with garden craft, where clients can make terrariums and wind chimes, or an AFL-themed Footy Fun Day at Saxon Sports, with handball challenges, kicking activities and team games.

More than one way to have a great week

Explore Activities Week is a regular part of the Wallara calendar, with a Spring and Autumn week held between Learning & Lifestyle semesters.

The activities change each time. That’s part of what makes it special.

For some people, a great day might mean getting competitive in the kitchen or on the footy field. For someone else, it could be making something, seeing a movie, visiting the farm or spending the day laughing with friends.

Different interests. Different choices. Plenty to look forward to.

That variety is an important part of the Learning & Lifestyle experience at Wallara — creating opportunities for people to do what they enjoy, try something different and spend time with people they like.

Capturing the week

Wallara’s Supported Employee Media Team will be there on Monday to capture some of the action, conversations and moments from the first day of Spring Explore Activities Week.

Keep an eye on Wallara’s social channels next week to see what everyone chooses — and what the Media Team captures along the way.
