Phil was appointed CEO of Wallara in 2010, following a 20-year career across investment banking, commercial law and senior roles in the NBA and AFL. His move into disability was deeply personal, shaped by caring for a family member with intellectual disability. Under his leadership, Wallara now operates five social enterprises and employs more than 600 people, 45% with disability. He was named Social Traders National Game Changer of the Year in 2025. Phil holds degrees in Economics and Law from Monash, is an Adjunct Professor and sits on the NDS National Board.
