Sonia Went

Sonia brings extensive expertise in human rights, supported decision-making and trauma-informed care to her role as Senior Manager, Quality and Safeguarding.

With a background in psychology and sociology, she has been a valued member of Wallara since 2006, leading and contributing to a wide range of initiatives. These include guiding the transition to co-located community sites for greater inclusion, overseeing the rollout of the NDIS for clients and developing an innovative tool to measure client goal achievement.

Sonia is an Authorised Program Officer, Chair of the Quality Advisory Committee, a member of the Human Rights and Safeguarding Committee and the Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance. Through these roles she plays a pivotal part in ensuring Wallara delivers safe, person-centred and rights-based services.
