Romaine Kakoullis

Romaine brings over 25 years of expertise in disability services, with a career focused on supporting people with complex and high healthcare needs. Passionate about quality community services and progressive positive behaviour support, she has been a catalyst for meaningful change.

For a decade, Romaine led Wallara’s Quality and Safeguarding function, steering the organisation into the NDIS era while upholding the highest standards of human rights. She implemented innovative systems, chaired the Quality Advisory Committee and, as Authorised Program Officer, oversaw multiple teams including HR, Learning and Development, Intake, Client Experience, Support Coordination and Quality.

Returning to Service Delivery in 2024, Romaine now leads Wallara’s Learning & Lifestyle division, where she elevates staff capability in compliance and policy while fostering collaborative and energised teams.

Her approach combines professional expertise and lived experience, ensuring Wallara continues to deliver inclusive, person-centred supports and inspire new possibilities.
