That we are more than just a house – we’re a home, a family. We go out, have fun and regularly use our local community. The goal is to support clients to be as independent as possible. Staff don’t do things for people, we do things with them.
Seeing clients thrive, enjoy their homes and feel connected to their local community.
Don’t be scared. Start the process early, it can take one to two years. A good Support Coordinator makes a huge difference and can take some of the pressure off families.
“Can our family come and visit us?”
Yes, it’s your home.
Come and talk to us. Share your concerns. At Wallara, we always create a transition plan that suits you, and the people you’ll be living with.
We go at the client’s pace. We cook their favourite meal. And we make sure they bring familiar personal items into their new home.
I enjoy reading, walking my dog and having my grandchildren over for sleepovers.
